Registered as Electronic Payment Service Provider

GarageBank Corporation is pleased to announce that we completed registration as an Electronic Payment Service Provider as of April 10, 2023. With this registration, we will continue to update cashari and develop new services that enable unified management of physical and financial assets.

Background of the registration

In recent years, the expansion of flea-market apps, growing awareness of the SDGs, and rising prices have driven greater interest in reuse and the trading of vintage items, increasing focus on physical assets. Compared with financial assets, however, physical assets are harder to value and manage, and they are difficult to convert into liquidity when needed.

To address these challenges, GarageBank is updating cashari to provide a new service that enables unified management of physical and financial assets. The new service is planned to use API connectivity with banks and other financial institutions, which requires registration as an Electronic Payment Service Provider; we therefore completed the registration with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau.
