Launch of identity verification proof-of-concept on Seven Bank's 4th-generation ATMs

GarageBank Corporation (hereinafter "GarageBank") is pleased to announce that, with the goal of improving the user experience in the eKYC process, it began on November 29, 2021 a proof-of-concept of identity verification combining Seven Bank, Ltd.'s 4th-generation ATMs and ACSiON, Inc.'s identity-verification service "proost," together with Seven Bank, Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuaki Funatake; hereinafter "Seven Bank") and ACSiON, Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takanori Yasuda; hereinafter "ACSiON").

Purpose of the proof-of-concept

For identity verification under the Used Goods Business Act, GarageBank has performed an eKYC process within the cashari app that complies with Article 6, Paragraph 1, Item "Ho" of the regulations under the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds. To enable more customers to use the service, we have now also added support* for an eKYC process at Seven Bank's 4th-generation ATMs. By providing an eKYC option at publicly accessible ATMs, we make the service more convenient for customers who are less comfortable with smartphone operations.

Through this proof-of-concept, GarageBank will validate UX improvements in the eKYC process and continue to refine the service to enhance customer convenience.

* During the proof-of-concept period, the ATM-based eKYC option is available only to customers residing in Tokyo.
